Plant Communities (polycultures) are groups of plants that meet each other's needs. A traditional polyculture is corn, beans and squash (the three sisters). Working together corn provides a growing structure for the beans, beans add nitrogen to the soil and squash covers the ground to prevent weeds. At Ecological Gardens we design and install polycultures (including trees, shrubs, perennials and annuals) to help create a self-sustaining landscape.
Committed to restoring health & abundance to the land while reconnecting humans with their food and the natural world.
