A view of a rain garden.  The rain garden captures water from the porch, infiltrates it into the soil, and supports a thriving plant community of  joe pyeweed, cardinal flower, blue flag iris, bottlebrush grass, goldenrod, and blazingstar, among others while providing seed for birds and nectar for insects.
